What’s New in Travel
Passports: It is now much easier to apply for a passport and the wait time in minimal. You will need two passport photos, which you can get at most Walgreen’s for under $8.00. For an easier way to apply for your passport, go to the International Student Center at your local university. It is much faster and the cost is the same. Turn-around-time is less than 3-weeks.
Cruises: Pregnant women who are more than six months pregnant will no longer be able to cruise on many cruise ship lines. It seems that there have been some complications involving premature births.
New Travel Advisory from LAX
LAX to Poland: The polish consulate has raised their application processing fees.
LAX to Brazil: It is now taking two weeks to process applications.
LAX-Turkey: Visa processing is now taking two weeks longer.
Bangladesh: The consulate now requires authorization from Bangladesh for all visas. This can significantly impact processing time
